DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 Leads, directs, and supervises the routine and special safety & health programs, requirements, and functions
 Ensures that a safe and healthy working environment exists for all employees
 Ensures that safety standards are maintained universally throughout the company including all its facilities and job sites
 Ensures that all employees who attend customer locations or job sites are properly trained and informed of the safety and health policies and regulations required or necessary for the assignment, environment, and facility
 Ensures that all employees placed at customer locations or job sites have completed and possess all necessary safety documentation or certification
 Assures that the company complies with all local and federal safety statutes and other governmental regulations
 Identifies and develops programs and procedures to assure continued compliance with both governmental and customer regulatory safety and health policies and standards
 Provides employees with information and tools necessary to satisfy safety inspections, and provides employees with relevant information regarding safety issues
 Supports with accurate and timely information and reports

REQUIREMENTS
 A working knowledge of safety and health regulations and standards in the workplace
 A certificate or degree in construction safety, business administration, industrial engineering, a related discipline, or approximately 5 years’ experience in construction contracting operations or safety
 Good administrating and records-keeping skills
 The ability to work well with other employees
 The ability to communicate effectively in Standard English, both written and oral, with customers, vendors, and employees. A good understanding of business writing formats including the ability to correspondence with outside agencies and customers in a professional manner
 The skills and knowledge to keep all lines of communication open with the Management Team members regarding Employee Safety & health issues and policies
 The ability to work well with risk management, insurance, regulatory affairs, and related government agencies and representatives
 Standing, sitting, and walking are required within the office, storage areas, outside, and job site locations. This position requires, besides sitting, standing, and walking, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending, and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers while working in the office, warehouse, or outside location. Considerable time may be spent sitting at a desk working with a personal computer and other related communication devices. Due to the responsibilities of record maintenance, this position may lift letter and legal size storage boxes full of records, and must be physically fit to climb stairs and ladders
