Pros: strong infrastructure, total compensation, lots of movement, big company, good top leaders
Cons: middle executives (market, district managers) not very genuine, somewhat less friendly corporate environment
In spite of being an extra large company, JPMorgan Chase truly cares what the employees think. They constantly send out surveys and ask employees and customers for feedback for how they do things. (However, you have to be politically correct in what you say or else you could end up going to the chopping block as well). They also invest in technology – more... and strive to stay at the cutting edge. Like all big companies you can get a good boss or a bad boss that makes all the difference. Overall the work is fair and the company has the right leaders at the top.
Salary is in the middle to low end in most circumstances unless you move around or switch positions a lot to get ahead. The reason I rated 3 stars is because the benefits, pension and profit sharing are very good and make the overall package more enticing. Unfortunately the company puts part of what should be your salary into a discretionary bonus at year end that has 20 different factors evaluating how much of it you will get. A good boss can give you a bigger bonus and a bad boss can give you less. – less
