JDM DESIGNWORKS INC. has an opening for a Road Crew Foreman. Reporting to the Project Supervisor the candidate will be accountable for the timely completion of projects .
Specific Responsibilities Will Include:

• Ability to interpret complex CAD and site plan drawings
• Strong proven background in new installation, field fabrication (e.g. fitting, welding, etc.)
• Timely and safe completion of shop or field work and related paperwork as required. Prioritizing and balancing a variable workload including working with site tradespeople
• Operate various welding related machinery and equipment that is typical to a welding/manufacturing environment as well as manage tool & site supply inventory including compressed gases
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices (e.g. lift truck, jib hoist)
• Ensure adherence to safety and Quality standards (e.g. Joint Health and Safety, applicable building and fire codes or CWB conformances) and maintain job site in a neat and orderly fashion
• Work in a fast paced team environment. Must be customer focused

Qualifications of the Position Include:

• A current Red Seal Journeyman Certificate a definite asset
• 5+years related job experience and managing a crew of 5+ tradespeople; experience working with blended crews on a typical job-site
• A strong background in welding/fabrication
• Must be confident to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Rigging experience as well as fluent with crane signals
• In-depth knowledge of Shop Safety and Joint Health and Safety protocols & workplace inspection process. Industry related certifications a definite asset (e.g.: First Aid, Fall Arrest, Lockout/Tagout, Propane Handling)

Hours of Work:

• Work schedule consists of a 40-44 hour work week
