• Assisted with the maintenance of the JD Irving private properties, including weeding, mowing, raking, and trimming. • Worked with little supervision. • Was selected for the job after a rigorous interview process having to do an initial interview, followed by a background/criminal record check and several academic testing evaluations
Factory Labourer (Former Employee) – Sussex, NB – 14 December 2016
They hired me to cover someone who was out on medical but did not tell me this when I was offered the job. I was one day before my probation was up when they let me go saying that I was no longer needed. Not something that I found was acceptable.
Fleet Managment (Former Employee) – Saint John, NB – 19 January 2016
My career currently is a company that is not the best at being family friendly. I currently work 55-60 hours/week and only bring home a salary for 40 of them. I enjoy my job and people I work with. Just looking to make a career change that allows me to spend more time home and with my family.
Leader - Financial Planning and Analysis (Former Employee) – Saint John, NB – 15 October 2014
The company is siloed into many other companies and branches with different reporting relationships to a shared services contained head office. Each company seems to have a unique work environment. There were lots of long hours and weekends expected, but it fit with the compensation package.
E/I supervisor (Current Employee) – Irving Pulp and Paper – 8 August 2013
This company or the human resources end of it does not care about the employee - you are a number, that's it. Years ago they were the people to work for, you received a very good wage and great benefits for an honest days work- not anymore, their bottom line is what's going out the door and not the well-being or happiness of their workforce.
Highly professional organization with unlimited oppertunities
Business Analyst (Current Employee) – Saint John, NB – 25 June 2013
Like i mentioned in my summary, its organization with unlimited opportunities for growth and success. Learning of new skills/technologies is always encouraged. Feedback and opinions are heard and at times implemented. The best part of the job is the cultural and people at the organization are very good and friendly. you get to work with people from different parts of the world and of different age groups which helps you learn things that some of them have learnt with age. All in all its good place to work at.
