Greeted parents and students as I was in the front desk.

The hardest part of my job was having to call a co-worker to cover me in the front desk so that I could take a brake.
The mos enjoable part of the job was that I dealt with different people.

Educational Recruiter
educational recruitet (Former Employee), MichiganNovember 27, 2012
Pros: decent pay and co-workers
Cons: raises, micro mangers, no homelife, no ethics or integrity, you name it.
This company has potential to be a great place to work but quiet is kept really sucks. You dont have a life. They always want you to work while they have family time. The Director of the school came in late everyday and left early. She played on Facebook all day and played favoritism with the CRS. Any employee that kissed her up got a free pass on productivity. – more... Several employees called the complianceand ethics line about her. The ethics line told her about the confidential call told the employees names the were wrote up and fired based on retaliation. – less

Expanding my skill, my experience, and exposure.
Property Control Manager (Current Employee), Washington, DCNovember 6, 2012
Pros: expanding my skills and experience.
Cons: healthcare and contract loss.
While working for ITT my skills were exceptionally advanced, but training when I became employed with ITT was very little. I had to take the little information that was given to me, and implement them in my daily activities. Due to me being a very fast learner I had much success with ITT on government contracts pertaining to the tracking of Government – more... furnished equipment and company assets. The hardest part of my job was coming into an organization with no previous Property Administrator and creating structure, good custodianship, shipping and receiving protocol, and sufficient purchasing records for audits. – less

Electrical Assembler (Former Employee), Lancaster, CAOctober 18, 2012
Pros: adequate salary/benefits and overtime.
Cons: very poor safety or the lack of. most every promise from managment was never realized.
1.I would work around puddles of flammable liquids spilled on the floor and left there in direct proximity to where I had to do several of my duties. This was after there had already been a fire in the same building! 2.I did learn many things involving staters and rotors, winding electrical motors for fuel pumps and then building the pumps as well. – more... 3.Management would promise you a lead job one day and fire you the next. 4.Most co-workers and leads would not even talk to you in english. 5. You had to constantly watch your back, working as fast as possible for 12 hours with people who did not care if the product they were building worked or not! 6.Learning something new and providing for my family. – less

ITT Valencia CA - 20/20
Engineering (Current Employee), ValenciaOctober 11, 2012
Pros: pay is decent
Cons: management, culture, expectations vs reality
Where to start... Be warned first that if you are ambicious or have any sort of desire to make any real changes, this is not the place or culture for you. If you are driven like a car and want to drive for the best, you will burn out and then likely get demotivated and possibly end up leaving - by choice or other. The culture has a lot of long tenured – more... folks hanging around and riding out until retirement, and they pretty much run the place both directly and indirectly. These folks have neither the desire to change anything, and if they don't get their way, will resort to a variety of ways to get their way. A couple of these folks are so in grained, upper management doesn't know how to deal with them, so they pretend there is no issue or cater to them. Take note if you are one of those super duper types - you will not be able to do anything. Folks have seen many of them types come and go.

ITT has been a good company that has gone through many changes in last few years.Time will tell if all the changes come out for the better. This site has the same problems over and over again and can't seem to fix them. The leadership here keeps turning over and there is no consistoncy. Many good people have left and several more are looking to leave. They are struggling to fill open positions which tell you something. – less
