Position Summary
The Office/Assistant Medic Coordinator is the right-hand support person for the Paramedic Coordinator in Fort St. John, BC. Initially, the job will entail learning how the paramedic program works and providing administrative support, however the job will quickly grow into a “second-in-charge” role as this person takes responsibility for helping to run Iridia’s Paramedic Program. Some of the things you’ll be doing include scheduling and coordinating travel for paramedics, managing the equipment and supplies going out to the camps, running errands, facilitating drug and alcohol testing protocols, assisting in the development of occupational health and safety initiatives, being a resource for paramedics in camp, fielding emails and phone calls from paramedics, assisting with orientation and other protocols, and a whole host of things we don’t have space to mention. This is an exciting and dynamic role in an ever-changing industry. If you like work that’s varied, fast-paced, challenging, and changing all the time, you may be a fit for this role. This position does require you to be on call evenings and weekends occasionally, as well as for holidays and out of office work days. In addition, we require the use of a personal vehicle as the role involves some driving.

If you have experience in occupational health and safety, an OFA 3 certification or knowledge of the oil and gas industry, that would be considered a significant asset in being considered for this role.

We believe in compensating our employees fairly according to industry standards, so for this position the salary level will be in the $45-50,000 range, depending on your skills and experience.
