Pros: breaks are unscheduled
Cons: distance to work, very strict policies
Typical day at work is dealing anywhere from 120-150 phone calls, informing customers of policy changes-price changes- or making adjustments to accounts. collecting psyments and setting up payment arrangements.
From here i learned how to keep a calm and clear head while dealing with very impatent or rude customers, learned to type at much faster speeds, – more... imporoved my verbal communication skills.
Learned to be a quick thinker while multi tasking and paying attention to every detail. Mangement is ok, my co workers are a random group of people that bring different backgrounds and stlyes and we blend together to keep a fast paced and motivated team. my hardest part of the job is keeping the same tone and pace in my voice as i spend any where from 10-15 mins. on a call only to repeat the same amount of time on another call a few seconds after ending the previous. The most enjoyable is getting compliments from customers who have been trying to get their accounts taken care of but due to previous agents unable to answer their questions. – less
