It's a job
Customer Service Represenitive/Collections (Current Employee), Pueblo, COAugust 15, 2014
Pros: free coffee if your manager brings a pot in
Cons: short breaks, high insurance
It's not the best place I have ever worked, it's not the worst either. They typical day at work includes several hours of down time, I have learned more about how to collect on past due accounts. The management is basically hands off, they are around if you need them but it may take a little while for them to help you which isn't always pleasant with – more... a screaming customer in your ear. Co-Workers seem to have adapted to this way of working, which is good for them but someone like me, who is used to having a very fast paced job even in a call center, isn't going to handle the non-productive way this job handles it's down time. The hardest part of the day is when I'm dealing with someone who has been incorrectly billed and I have to tell them that it will be 72 hours before the adjustment is made to their account. The most enjoyable part of the day is when I am able to resolve my customers needs without having to depend on someone else. – less

Great People & Great Diversity at the Corporate location
AVP, Global Executive Recruiter (Current Employee), New York, NYAugust 8, 2014
Pros: flexible scheduling as needed
Cons: room for advancement in particular departments could be a challenge
Working at iQor in its New York City corporate headquarters for 3 years I had regular and frequent interaction with all departments, all department heads, and many globally diverse people and employees. Through changes in management and staff, including 3 CEOs, the core-team showed strength in seeing to it that the daily work was completed and high – more... expectations were set and met. – less

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee), Plymouth, MNAugust 1, 2014
Pros: accumulate 8-10 hours of free
Cons: short brakes, no good bonuses.
I work the morning shift 7 am to 4 pm I take about a 100 calls everyday I talk to a lot of people all over the US which is always interesting English and Spanish I learn to listen to the customers to build rapport and make the call more fun in a professional way . As far as the supervisors and managers on the floor are always very strict very respectful – more... to all the employees . the people that works there are very nice the bilingual teammates all get along as well as the other teams .The most difficult thing about the job may be to have a system issue right at the time that you are trying to help somebody over the phone and not been able to help the customer the way that you always use to and the most beautiful part is to know that you help somebody who needed help and did not know who to speak with and of course getting pay... – less

Pros: lunches; fun activities sometimes; co-workers
Cons: unprofessional workplace; systems always down
productive when systems are up. Helping customers with their gas bills and accounts. I learned different systems I never used before on the computer. Management was very rude almost all the time, Supervisors were ok. My Supervisor was very friendly and connected well with all his team members. co-workers were great, with the exception of co-workers – more... getting into fights. Nothing was really hard there. And the most enjoyable part was my team and my supervisor. – less

Senior Agent (Former Employee), Depew, NYJuly 23, 2014
Pros: hourly pay
Cons: driving distance
Some of the management was more concerned about their social life then helping the production of the agents. Management would also tend to play favorites. Co-workers were knowledgeable of their job and responsibilties.

Pros: amazing, friendly customers
Cons: not enough benefits
It is a very fast pace and, busy job. I have learned a lot from this job experience such as, department statuses and managing prices and satisfying customers. My co-workers are one team, they always make sure that everyone's jobs are completed. Walmart is a very good job, especially for those who are looking forward to management careers.

Payment Processor (Current Employee), New Albany, OHJuly 17, 2014
Pros: paid breaks
Cons: healthcare, vacation time
A typical day at work for me is very, very busy! I've learned a lot about what management should and shouldn't do in a company. My co workers range anywhere from 18-50's. This is a department full of women there are only three guys in my department. Being that I process payments I normally work very close with statements and invoicing and finance since – more... they have to balance the bank accounts based on what I post. The hardest part about the job is dealing with systems that have issues and cause electronic errors that can't be avoided. The most enjoyable part is that my manager is very flexible when it comes to taking time off. – less
