Bilingual Financial Consultant (Current Employee) – Toronto – 10 April 2014
A typical day at work, first i reply any urgent email. Follow up on any outstanding request with client and internal. Connect with potential client. make call to book meeting or attend meeting with new client. I learn what people are exicted about, cause i asked them what are your goals, dreams. What success means to them. The hardest part of my job is to find people who are willing to seat donw with me and show them what i do and how i can help them achieved their dreams financialy. I enjoyed when i put together a financial plan for a client, review it with them and see a smile on they face, cause now the have a plan in place they can look forward to achieve their goals.
Meeting interesting people, family from different walk of life.
not meeting enough people to teach the value of a Financial Plan

I found investors group to be great in the sense of managing your own book of clients. It provides a sort of entrepreneurial workplace for people to do everything on their own time. It was challenging but also rewarding for when your efforts begin to show results.
Financial consultant assistant (Former Employee) – North York, ON – 6 March 2017
I was a financial advisor assistant at Investors Group and I truly enjoyed my stay at the company. With the stretching support by my senior and other colleagues, I learned a lot of business related knowledge. Also, I conducted cold calling and I was able to build up my skills of communication with clients for clientele expansion.
Consultant (Current Employee) – Ontario – 8 February 2017
Long hours. Hard to succeed in the first two years without a strong list of prospects. Ongoing pressure to reach sales targets. This highly regulated industry makes it difficult to give adequate time to keep up with income-generating activities. Fees and expenses make it difficult to net a reasonable income. Income can be good after several years of extraordinary hours.
Consultant (Current Employee) – Victoria, BC – 16 January 2017
The leadership and training is top shelf. The office culture is very good. There is no limitations to growth short of your own capabilities and it's fun being surrounded by entrepreneurs. Everyone feels good about what they do and make good money. It's not for everyone as it is not an employee relationship but a business you own and run with IG's support. The new compensation model released in late 2016 is really good; maybe the best in the industry.
