Looking for English majors or Writing majors

Technical Writer- Entry level - Seasonal Role - GREAT Opportunity for a recent grad or a part-time student!

We will provide training with technical writing tools for example HTML and XML.

Please note this is a seasonal role with a possibility of transitioning to an employee position.

A great opportunity for a recent University Graduate or for a part-time student!!

  • You will help to produce and localize User Interface text for new and existing features, as well as in-product help for our QuickBooks Online Global products
  • You will identify, collect and analyze requirements and use them to produce clear and concise documents that are user-friendly
  • You will develop and maintain clear and concise reference and user documentation in various formats and in compliance with internal standards
  • You will works on problems with limited to moderate scope (feature level or smaller projects)
  • You will normally receive general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions for new assignments.
  • Bachelor's Degree (or in final year of Bachelor's degree) in English or Writing is a must

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional reading comprehension
  • Strong initiative with analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities

  • Technical qualifications:

- Basic understanding of DITA and XML
- Familiar with use of Perforce, OxyGen, and other writing tools, such as Madcap Flare, an asset
- Basic understanding of HTML
- Able to work under pressure independently and part of a team to meet deadlines
