Slave work (Literally).....not recommended.
Warehouse Manager (Former Employee), KendallMay 13, 2014
Pros: free lunch on pay day.
Cons: everything
Owner micro manages all the time and extremely pretentious...warehouse workers work in fear. He needs to have banners on the wall so that subordinates execute his desired steps one by one, there is no needs for a manager in place to implement ideas or strategic management. You work from 7AM to 7PM non stop throwing and stacking 50lbs batteries and recharging – more... and recycling batteries receiving acid drops every one and a while (Slave work). The owner only hired kids under 25 to make sure that they can keep up with the physical demand. 40K a year but with the hours you spend breaking your back it's more like 9/Hr. – less

Excellent company, Lacking some quality management
Support Analyst (Former Employee), Dallas, TexasMarch 19, 2014
Pros: benefits are very good
Cons: all management should follow eeo
The company overall is a great organization. Environment is very upbeat and friendly, great employees.
However certain departments provide very little training on PROPRIETARY SOFTWARE to all department personnel but some receive unlimited, with multiple project opportunities.
While all department personnel are expected to perform at the same professional – more... level without equal or proper training.

Management in certain departments lacking in professionalism, EEO has very little meaning – less

Solid company with steady work
Foreman (Former Employee), ConroeJuly 29, 2013
The days went by quickly most of the time if there was plenty of work. The crew was easy going and fun, this made the other issues within the company more bearable. When I started there it had great benefits, but once the provider changed it turned into just another reason for people to leave. I learned a lot about the industry such as warehouse, operations, – more... retail, customer service etc. The hardest part of the job was the working conditions, it was mostly at the mercy of the weather. Summer and winter were the toughest. But it kept me in good shape, just a small plus. There was always a stressful atmosphere in management. Things went awry when operation policies changed since it always affected everyone at the facility. – less

Good customers, negative management
Administrative Assistant/Customer Service (Former Employee), Upland, CAMay 16, 2013
Pros: friendly customers, easy duties.
Cons: hostile environment
Helping customers with orders was what got me through my day. My duties were basic data entry and not as challenging as I would prefer. Majority of the co-workers were pleasant however the owners and office manager were very negative and did NOT treat employees with respect. Overall was a stressful position due to the way the owners talked to the employees. – more... At one time even threatened physical harm to a manager for a minor error. This is only at this particular location and not in any way infers that all franchises treat their employees in this manner. I unfortunately found this position to be a negative experience for what was actually an easy job in regards to duties. – less

Sales Commission Based Job
Route Sales Manager (Former Employee), Pembroke Park, FLJanuary 25, 2013
Pros: good pay, self-supervision, on the road most of the day.
Cons: long hours, heavy lifiting.
In the morning, you load your truck so stock is full and varies,(50-150 Batteries) . The day consist of running a route to different vendors and dealers who carry our brand. You replensh stock, assist dealer with product knowledge, accept payments, and load junk batteries at each stop. At the end of the day you unload your truck, get it counted, washed, – more... and parked. You then run payments, inventory reports and sales reports consistent with your day.
I learned alot of sales techniques and pitches. Also I learned alot about the automotive maintenance industry. I learned self-supervision and completing my job successfully without micromanagement.
The two hardest things about the job are the hours, and heavy lifting all day.
Co-workers are great. Friendly, energetic and understanding.
The most enjoyable part of the job is getting to know the area of the the route you run. Talking to different people and visiting the hundreds of vendors on one specific route. – less
