The Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC) is a nationwide lottery organization incorporated in 1976 under the Canada Corporation Act and owned by the ten provincial governments. ILC works closely with Canada’s five regional lotteries to undertake initiatives of collective interest to its regional members, cultivate collaboration to act on high return national initiatives, and drive responsible growth of lotteries and instant games. Current national lottery products include the popular Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max games, as well as a variety of instant scratch games such as the $100 Million$ Extravaganza.

ILC’s mission is to act in the collective interests of the regional lotteries to drive strategic and financial value for shareholders. Its objective is to foster, oversee and champion national lotteries that afford relevant customer experiences and deliver sustainable revenue growth within the context of exacting standards and corporate responsibility.

ILC is undergoing strategic renewal and is seeking a Director of Business Development & National Initiatives. The position will be accountable for driving the transformation of ILC into a more forward-focused and results-driven organization that supports regional lottery member goals and delivers successful national lottery experiences in a reliable, responsible and customer-oriented manner.

Director Business Development and National Initiatives
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will foster collaboration, model resourcefulness and innovation and demonstrate thought leadership as you work closely with regional lotteries and ILC member committees to drive responsible game and customer revitalization. You will oversee ILC’s national initiatives in new business development, communications, corporate social responsibility, analytics and responsible gaming. You will work with ILC teams to identify, incubate and develop business rationale for innovative new national games that attract new players, capitalize on customer preferences, and achieve responsible revenue growth. You will foster national cooperation in the continued development of responsible gaming standards, tools and curriculum that incorporate best practice and innovation in adult learning. You will create an environment of collaboration and information sharing to leverage collective expertise and ensure open communications and continued public trust in lotteries. You will ensure that appropriate business assessment, project management, and decision-making criteria and processes are integrated across ILC to deliver maximum value to regional lotteries and stakeholders.

You are highly creative yet disciplined in analyzing new opportunities and formulating business plans. You have a track record of employing innovation, customer knowledge and emerging technologies to create new products and identifying new partners and distribution channels. You are practiced at cultivating collaboration and building cooperative teams with your open, engaging influencing style.
