We are looking for 6 long haul truck drivers for a permanent full time position with our company.

Wage: $23.00 per hour

Education: Some high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer

Type of Travel: Long-haul, local.

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver's licence, Travel expenses paid by employer
