Cons: uncertainty of contracts - short term needs
The IADB is a huge bank that work with the governments of the latinamerican countries and I got thousands of dollars were under my suppervission. As a responsible of 4 regional funds, I was responsible of doing the accounting of those funds that everyone functions as a single enterprise. Contracts between the bank and countries' governments must be strictly respected as well as deadlines.
I got the oportunity to learn many things, a lot from professional auditors comming from big fours (ex co-workers) and from clients (external auditors such as Ernst & Young or Deloitte).
One of the enjoyable things was the coffee-maker and strikes double while you have to stay overtime in order to meet deadlines. Great working environment!
I dislike the fact I was living under an uncertainty of contract, month to month renewal.
