Excellent Compensation and Opportunities
Application Developer (Current Employee), Chandler, AZNovember 17, 2014
Pros: benefits, compensation, latest technology
Cons: long hours, very competitive, fast paced
Intel is a great place for recent college graduates, as well as experienced employees. It is a fast-paced, high-pressure, high-risk, high-rewards environment that hires only the best. The hours can be long, and the pressure to perform is high, however for those who can make the cut, the rewards in terms of opportunities and compensation are worth the – more... effort. – less

Manufacturing Technician (Current Employee), Chandler, AZNovember 11, 2014
Pros: bonuses
Cons: little room for advancement.
A typical day at work involved performing maintenance defect analysis and trouble shooting. I have learned a lot about semiconductor manufacturing process. Management is well organized, Co-workers are usually well informed and have a wealth of knowledge to share. The hardest part of the job walking form one end of the factory to the other to respond – more... to different tool issues and maintenance requests. most enjoyable and work/life flexibility. – less

Ok place, but techincians beware!
Senior Engineering Technician (Current Employee), Austin, TXNovember 11, 2014
As long as they have a business need of you, everything is wonderful. However, if your job is deemed end of life, it is almost impossible to get a transfer. No regard for years of experience or what you have accomplished, you start out as day one against anyone coming in from outside...and that just isn't right!

Used to be a GRAT place to work! Unfortunately with the economy Intel like so many other companies has gone through some changes. Workers are not as valued as they used to be. That's everywhere I think.

My Career at Intel
Sr. Systems Analyst (Current Employee), Rio Rancho, NMNovember 7, 2014
Pros: the entire intel benefit package
Cons: the occasional long days and weekend work
A typical day at Intel involves meeting with customers and teams across the world. Some meetings can be early in the morning or late in the day/evening depending on who the attendees are and where they are physically located at. Management is great and encourages thinking outside of the box and risk taking. Teams and co-workers are great in that everyone – more... is supportive and helpful and respectful. The hardest part of the job is saying good-bye to a fellow co-worker when they leave a team or the company as we have all evolved into an extended family.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the interaction and learning about new cultures whether it is virtually or via International travel. For a company that employs +/- 100K workers around the world, it is wonderful to know that Intel is a place where "everyone knows your name". Other perks Intel provides are a full cafeteria with free beverages and fruits, which includes a breakfast menu until 10:00am and then Lunch from 11:00am to 2:00pm. They also provide an on-site medical clinic for both employees and their families, a gym, a putting green, a basketball court, a bank, and many other concierge services.

The most valuable lesson I have learned as an employee of Intel is that no matter your background, your education, your religion, your gender, or ethnicity everyone has something of value to contribute to success of the Intel Vision and Strategic Imperatives. – less
