Talented team and fun to work environment
Technology Analyst (Former Employee), Regina Sask & Bangalore IndiaJune 10, 2014
Pros: happy work environment
Cons: less freebies during late work hours
The talent among our project members was amazing and it was fun to work with such talented people. Every day was challenging to solve customer issues and a lot of barnstorming sessions where we share ideas to solve a problem.
Cross functional training was an added advantage while working with Infosys. We get to learn different technologies and how they – more... work together in a real environment.
The hardest thing was to work in shifts. End of the day it all boils down to customer satisfaction and the pain of working in shifts goes away when you see a happy customer sending a good feedback for the work that you did. – less

ITeS giant with focus on Bread & Butter work
Technology Analyst (Current Employee), United StatesAugust 19, 2014
Pros: opportunity to learn new technologies/process/tools
Cons: lack of leadership strategy in modern it world, less remuneration and fewer promotions
Work load depends on the project your are into. Sometimes load could be more as a normal IT workplace and sometimes less.

Opportunity to learn new Technologies/Process/Tools when you are given chance to work on new projects.

Management (few) is favorable to employees. However, some are more interested in keeping themselves safer rather than helping – more... yourselves build a 'career'.

Helping co-workers.

The hardest part of the job is to keep yourself motivated with monotonous kind of work and never changing projects/work. Resistance by managers to let you leave and join new projects, kills your technological skills.

Appraisals & Promotion policy is bit odd given the size of employee base. Focus is more on keeping large base of people away from rewards/promotion than having them attain higher level of remuneration & job level. – less

Infosys is a great company to work with at the beginning of your career when you are trying to decide what and which area you want to build your career in. As you progress in your career and if intend to become a SME then it not the right place to be in.

Systems Engineer (Former Employee), Pune-IndiaAugust 18, 2014
Having 7 branches all over in India it has a huge campus with varied facilities for employee relaxation and ease of access. Having a linear management provided with good learning experience, direct interaction with experts in the stream and gaining more knowledge about the work.

Interaction with coworkers, coordinating the work, interacting with clients, – more... taking responsibilities, attending various seminars helped in constant development of personal skills,

A normal day at work used to be attending client issues, meetings with managers and senior executives regarding implementation plans, installing Citrix components on vanilla servers, creating change requests and documentation.

The challenging part of the job was being solely responsible as a Citrix expert in the Emerald migration project of AstraZeneca Pharmacy company. – less
