Admin worker (Current Employee) – Joffre, Alberta – 21 November 2012
This company is great to work for. This is a new industry for me and I am learning lots. There are lots of great things here: people, benefits, flexible hours. The people I've met have been very helpful teaching a newbie about what goes on. I find the plant very interesting and am always looking to learn new things. Site safety is very important and training is constantly being upgraded. So far, I've had no negative experiences during my time here.
short commute (less than 30 mintues) opportunity for bonuses
Intimidation, bullying and micro managing keeps everyone inline or wanting out.
Former employee (Former Employee) – Joffre – 4 June 2013
Site director, directs and if you don't like his direction too bad. If you value peace of mind don't ask questions that management will find difficult to honestly answer. Site director likes to bully and micro manage and talk out of both sides of his mouth, so ensure any agreements are recorded and documented. They need to walk the talk and live up to their 20 principles. Training was at a minimal, computer based mainly. The location and schedule are the very good and what make this facility attractive. Employees are easy going and friendly. There is no union and HR is not functional, so leaves you with no where to go.
Good place to work, other than managements lack of ability to manage.
Employee (Former Employee) – Joffre – 9 August 2012
Heavy handed management. Supervisors deny it but they micro manage everything. Very little trade/job related training. Plant manager likes to try to intimidate and bully employees. Beware of supervisors that will back stab and try to pit employees against eachother.
4 day work week
very little recognition for doing more than basic job requirements.
