Imperial Parking Corporation and its subsidiaries (Impark) is a provider of parking services in North America. In December 2003, the Company managed, leased or owned 1,360 parking lots in Canada and 327 parking lots in the United States containing more than 350,000 parking spaces in aggregate. It also provides parking lot patrolling, ticketing and collection – more... services for Impark's own lots and for those operated by other parties. The Company operates parking facilities under three general types of arrangements: leases, management contracts and fee ownership. During 2003, it leased 592 parking facilities, operated 1,080 parking facilities through management contracts and owned 15 parking facilities. In May 2004, the Company was acquired by Parking Management Fund, LP, an investment fund formed by The Gates Group, LLC, a private equity firm based in Cleveland.
