IKEA is a fun, interesting and unique work environment. Co-workers and management are treated like equals and the environment is reasonably calm for a retail setting. I learned a lot about the inner workings of a large retail store like this, how the cash on hand is handled and how the store compiles, stores and reports it's flow of money. The hardest part of the job was very clearly getting used to the very dated way of running their batch reports every morning. But after a couple weeks of training and repeatedly going through the process myself, I eventually got used to it. My favorite and most enjoyable part of the job was working in an office environment and the daily interactions with all of the wonderful people that work there. It truly is a great place to work and I'm very thankful that I had the opportunity to be there.

really great company, really great values, generally everyone that works there is nice. of course it is a retail job so there are customers that you have to deal with and other cons but that is any retail job. IKEA i would say is one of the better retail jobs to have. So if you have your heart set on retail or are just looking for a job to pay the bills IKEA is good place to apply at.

it is a neat and clean and safe workplace to work. I have learned to drive order-picker machine which is very helpful to work in a warehouse. Management team is very great and helpful and they always appreciate to workers. this is multicultural workplace. there is sometime is very heavy lifting only that's sometimes hard otherwise okay. i enjoying that job because nobodies bother.

The job as a cart organizer is a job to do if you need some quick money. You have the freedom to work more or less hours although they will cap you at a certain point due to not wanting to pay overtime wages. It is a job to keep in between jobs because the pay is low and their is not much ambition to organize carts in a cart room. Ikea does hire from within mainly so there are many opportunities to move into a position with higher pay and benefits.

Work is very straight forward with not too much change day-per-day but allows enough leeway to perform work effectively. Very heavily customer dependent and, due to general nature of IKEA, will have a great amount of customer interaction especially for questions. Management is usually quick to respond and very helpful but due to exceedingly high volume of customers at any given time they can be stretched thin. Generally a great environment to work in with great co-workers but can be taxing due to strain of volume.
