As an Ideaca Business Intelligence / Data Developer Consultant based in our Vancouver office, you will be responsible for helping customers design and implement effective business intelligence (BI) solutions and data migrations. Your role will include data analysis, data mapping and transformation, designing and developing BI solutions, and training customer resources to successfully adopt and leverage the business solution in supporting their business operations. You will also participate in the sales cycle, specifically assisting in the preparation of demos and writing proposals. This position is the start of a promising long-term career in business intelligence and/or other lines of business with Ideaca.

Reporting experience – ideally with Crystal Reports, Business Objects, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or SAS
Understanding of data warehousing concepts, architectures, and processes
Education in database methodologies

Understand how to build and maintain positive peer relationships and enjoy team work
Successful completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline with a management information systems component
As our ideal candidate, you have:
Experience with business application data assessments, business data migrations and ETL implementations using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services or other data analysis and mapping tools
Experience with data quality assessments, data mapping, or data conversion
Experience with designing, developing and implementing extract, load and transform (ETL) routines to transform business application data from enterprise applications including but not limited to SAP, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Lawson, Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and Microsoft Dynamics AX
Proven confidence in your ability to manage tasks, issues, their priorities and interdependencies.
An openness for domestic and/or international travel as required
