Maintenance (Janitorial/Handy Person)
Under the direction of the Administrative Support Manager, this position is responsible for performing janitorial duties for the buildings and related areas. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential. Employees in this job perform and oversee a variety of janitorial, custodial, and/or security tasks to maintain clean and member’s safe buildings and grounds. Quality customer service will be provided to clients and staff members at all times.
Responsibilities (but not limited to)
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
General maintenance of grounds
Cleans and services restrooms.
Observes appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; reports needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions.
Other duties include; snow removal, salting walkways, minor landscaping, trimming shrubs, etc.
The job duties require of an employee: to bend, reach, stand for extended periods, walking, bending, carrying items weighing more than fifty pounds. Moving items over fifty pounds utilizes a team lift

Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn
High School Diploma or completion of grade 12
1-2 years of related experience
Must have worked in an industrial environment
The plant is conveniently located in Calgary’s SE industrial quarter. It manufactures chemical additives for the oil and gas industry using blenders. Operating pumps and hoses performs quality control tests, label batch orders. Key team players are focused on working together to consistently deliver value and quality. Hours: Days Shift 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (Hours TBC)
Wage Range: $18.50 - $20.00 - pending experience
