We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive to grow our customer base. We are seeking an aggressive self-starter with previous metal machining, laser cutting, welding or fabrications sales background. Primary responsibility will be in the selling process, from developing customer awareness by specific market development initiatives which includes identifying customers based on applications and market knowledge within a specific industry and/or application.

Compensation: 50K + commision

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect new sales channels and opportunities through networking and market research; Develop value proposition selling strategies for the assigned applications and industry
  • Establish long term relationships with manufacturing engineers, product engineers, engineering management, purchasing personnel and top company managers at customer plant sites and corporate offices;
  • Establish customer relationships using your communication skills and knowledge of metal machining, laser cutting, welding and fabrication.
  • Ability to interpret customer and in-house technical requirements and drawings
  • Prepare estimates and proposals; ensure quotations are delivered on time and to customers' satisfaction
  • Provide some guidance to internal production units
  • Resolve Sales/Client problems and issues
  • Research industry, market information, be knowledgeable about competitive products and pricing; geography of competition
  • Report on sales deals closed daily

Ideal candidate comes with:

  • Degree in Business or Civil Engineering preferred
  • Solid sales experience preferably in the metals and or fabrication industry; experience with multi-national businesses, start-up business or new product launches
  • Experience in selling and developing business within industry sectors of: machine tooling, automotive, semiconductor, electric/electronic, industrial automation, photovoltaic, medical devices, mechanical/industrial engineering, plastic or LED markets; Good knowledge of machining, laser cutting and metal fabrication
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills which will allow to interact effectively with customers
  • Excellent data search and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (incl. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint); ability to effectively use Internet, understand the processes of search engines
  • Knowledge of production process, pricing methods
  • Ability to accomplish long term projects and close deals with minimum supervision
  • Some professional qualifications and CAD experience
