Job Summary:

The Strategic Partnership & Distribution Planning Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the progression of the distribution strategy. This individual will be highly engaged and able to deliver sound analytical work in a fast paced progressive environment.

At ING Direct the Distribution team creates and manages the road map for how the bank will deliver its products to customers. The Planning analyst will work closely with and provide support to the Associate Vice President of Distribution to provide the analysis to make strategic decisions on the future of the banks distribution networks.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development and formulation of distribution analytical priorities;
· Frame partnership opportunities in a rapidly changing environment
· Conduct partnership assessments
· Assist in developing and refining negotiation strategies for all partnership negotiations
Perform impact evaluations and scenario analysis for multiple distribution strategies
· Partnership scenario analysis based on identified potential partners
· Mobile location scenarios based on selected locations and demographics of locations
Responsible for activities pertaining to the conduct of Strategic Planning,
Facilitate strategic conversation with key decision makers within the firm, identify potential strategic initiatives and perform feasibility studies on resulting efforts
Identify opportunities for new strategic initiatives
Translate Strategic Plans into activity-based Business Plans for downstream business decisions
Make recommendations for the prioritization of competing strategic initiatives
Translate strategic recommendation into Business Plans which will be integrated into the distribution strategy
Partner with IT to develop and enhance related reporting for various distribution options as they devlop
Evaluate vendor responses based on a predetermined framework and have input into vendor selection.
Identify, recommend and contribute to strategic actions and initiatives designed to improve the immediate, mid-term and long-term success of the Distribution Department
Participate in project meetings and prepare project plans including timelines and cost estimates.

Requirements:

Proficiency with office automation software (MS Office Suite)
Ability to be adaptable and flexible while responding to deadlines on assignments and workflow fluctuations
Experience with database applications and automated reporting solutions
Ability to work with concepts and work independently
Strong command of advanced analytical concepts, such as EVA, Embedded Value, RAROC
Excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills
Ability to balance several conflicting demands to achieve optimum services performance with minimum disruption to business operations
Sound experience in devising ways to extract data from many sources and translate this data into useful information.
Ability to be adaptable and flexible while responding to deadlines on assignments and workflow fluctuations
Computer literacy with regards to accounting systems and data consolidation systems

Qualifications:

A post-secondary degree in Business or Accounting/Finance, CFA/CPA designation desirable
A minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience in strategic planning or corporate development role
A minimum of 2+ years work experience with information systems.
