Technical Sales Representative – Fabrication and Machining
Full Time, Permanent
Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta

Hydro Scotford Inc. is located in Alberta’s Industrial Heartland and offers industry leading expertise for the servicing and repair of industrial pumps. Hydro Scotford is a 40,000 sq. ft. pump repair facility dedicated to serving pump users across Canada and parts of North America.

We plan to add to our Team with a Technical Sales Representative to support future sales growth for Fabrication and Machining services. You will bring a defined focus on custom Fabrication and Machining services for current and future customers. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, areas as:

  • Identifying sales opportunities
  • Identifying customer requirements and showing customers how Hydro’s Fabrication and Machining products/services can satisfy those requirements
  • Negotiating and closing sales deals
  • Following-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and to expand business opportunities
  • Maintaining and updating customer data on defined territories and accounts
  • Undertaking business travel with minimal supervision for defined territories and accounts

Your qualifications that will interest us include:

  • Journeyman Machinist and/or Technologist qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years directly related experience working in a Machining and/or Fabrication service
  • Knowledge of ASME Code requirements
  • Knowledge of ABSA programs to support sales objectives for Fabrication services
  • Knowledge of Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) requirements
  • Successful experience in Sales and Account Management
  • Sales training (e.g., Certified Sales Professional) preferred
