Exciting opportunity exists for the right individual to join a progressive non-profit organization as a Residential Support Worker. The position entails working in an adult group home setting with individuals who have developmental, physical disabilities or some mental health issues in Surrey. The right candidates should have experience with Behavior Management, Personal Care, Lifting and Transferring as well as Medication Administration and at least 1-2 years experience with various disabilities listed above. A class 4 BCDL is a requirement in order to be eligible for this position.

Shifts are: Saturday and Sunday 4pm-10pm with opportunities to grow within.

Job Duties Include:

*Knowledge and experience working with developmental, physical disabilities, mental heath
*Ability to create a meaningful routine
*knowledgeable of creating independence vs. creating dependence
*Following health care plans
*Completing daily documentation
*Implementing personal protocols, schedules, and activities
*Accompanying/transporting individuals to appointments and activities in the community
*Knowledge and experience with community integration and teaching life skills

Job Qualifications Include:

-Class 4 BC Driver’s License required and clear driver’s abstract
-Minimum of 1 year experience
-Positive Behaviour Management
-Criminal Record Check
-Negative TB test
-First Aid and CPR
-Mandt Certificate

Compensation: $16.17 hourly as per the collective agreement, plus benefits upon meeting eligibility requirements.
