Howe Sound Pulp and Paper has an immediate opening for an E/I Supervisor at our Port Mellon site. On the heels of a $6 million dollar upgrade of our evaporators we have now completed a $36 million fluidized bed upgrade to our power boiler to enhance energy and generate clean power. Under the direction of the Kraft Mill Maintenance Superintendent, you will be accountable for day to day availability of electrical and instrumentation equipment within the cost constraints imposed. You must also have a goal of minimizing the number of safety incidents and the number of environmental excursions beyond accepted limits. You will be a member of the area maintenance teams along with the Electrical and Instrumentation Planner. You will maintain a longer term focus of improvement for your systems and equipment.
Highly motivated and experienced in mill operations or maintenance, you ideally bring heavy industry experience and a team approach to meeting operational needs. Your skill-set, when combined with your exceptional commitment to safe working habits, relevant computer skills and strong writing and communication abilities as well as strong knowledge of DCS, more than support your degree or diploma in a pulp and paper related field.
