Under the supervision of the Catering Manager, the Banquet Concierge is responsible for supervising and executing the physical set up & tear down of event spaces and responsible for on-site client maintenance.

Task Description
Ensure banquet rooms/foyer/mezzanine are neat and tidy at all time, showing autonomy, proactivity, and resourcefulness.
Ensure set up & tear down of meeting rooms are in accordance to the BEO, ensuring Hotel Le Germain banquet standards are adhered to.
Hotel liaison for on-site event contact & Charcut Banquet Team.
Validate all information with the client 72hres prior to the event.
Set up & tear down of audio/visual equipment, and ongoing communication with audiovisual supplier.
Ensure ongoing team communication, completing Daily Banquet Report and/or communicating at every shift change.
Handle and log all shipments for events.
Insure Banquet equipment is handled and/or stored properly at all time.
Maintain inventory of all banquet equipment and ensure the Catering Manager is aware of any needs related to it.
Ensure daily accuracy of iSignager system.
Responsible for all banquet Opera postings.
Ensure proper staffing levels based on event schedule.
Maintain a Purchase Order/Invoice log of all event related orders.
Assist Director of Sales and Catering Manager in weekly sales reports.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience in the hotel industry, specifically within Banquet Department an asset
Ability to work in a team environment
High energy and physically fit – must be able to lift and move banquet equipment with ease
Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills exemplifying courtesy, empathy and professionalism and neat appearance
Able to organize, plan ahead and manage workload
Excellent working knowledge of audio/visual equipment
Strong attention to detail
Self-starter who takes initiative

Fluent verbal and written English, second language, preferably French, an asset

Work Schedule :
Variable schedule days, evenings, and weekends
Possibility full-time work based on business volumes

Salary :
Hourly salary as per agreement
