Are you the versatile assistant we are seeking? You are a positive team player who can self-supervise, multi-task, and handle changing priorities with ease. You are efficient, organized, responsible, and thrive in a busy environment. You care about quality and service, and are willing to help out in other areas as needed.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
-Provide support to sales, marketing and editorial departments
-Assist in the development of new business and service to existing customers
-Respond to and manage requests for information
-Database management for clients and prospects, including maintenance of accurate records and contacts
-Deal with clients and prospects providing a high standard of customer service by phone, mail, and email
-Assistance with marketing and promotion, including trade shows
-Other general office duties as required
Essential Skills & Abilities:
-Previous experience in one or more of these areas: sales, customer service, marketing, database management, office administration, dealing with the public
-Able to adjust priorities and multi-task while staying organized, with great time management skills, and excellent attention to detail
-Able to work both independently and as part of a team
-A natural desire to provide high standards of quality and service
-Excellent command of the English language, good communication skills both written and oral
-Excellent keyboarding and strong computer skills
-Comfortable with learning new skills and computer programs
-Great telephone manner; good people skills via telephone, email and in-person (trade shows)
-Must have knowledge of the horse industry and, at minimum, basic horse experience
-Must enjoy dogs (an office dog is present)
