independent work i love how i work in multiple envorments
Phlebotomist/ Paramedical Examiner (Current Employee), new york ( i travel multiple locations) – May 6, 2013
Pros: you make your own schedule
Cons: no benefits
as an indepent contractor you go to clients homes and perfom a medical exams (take blood, urine, and saliva specimens), vitals,EKG as requested. It is an awesome experience and i meet some very nice people. I enjoy working with the management team because they are very professional and helpful although they are not present, they are just a very quick – more... phone call or email away. However the position is not extremly challenging but you have to stay on top of your organizational skills, paper work, and professionalism skills at all times which can be a challenge at times. Mostly because paramedical examiners dont work in a formal business setting you travel to the clients house and it is a more personal setting however you cant forget that your a professional in a personal enviroment. – less

Great Company to work for
Customer Service Regional supervisor (Former Employee), Houston, TX – May 3, 2013
Pros: paid birthdays and winning little battles between branches
Cons: over time
typical work day was to go into work, taking calls from agent, brokers and promoters, Called applicants to schedule appointments, to get missing information, also called doctors and clinics to get required infromation.I learned a lot about the insurance business the pros and cons. I enjoyed most of my co workers.calming angry applicants and agents because – more... of missing infromation and declined benefits. I git the chance to meet examiners talk to clinic personnel and also get to know applicants. – less

Fun and over all great company to work with
Health Examiner (Current Employee), Tulsa, OK – April 11, 2013
Pros: good pay, make your own hours
Cons: not m-f job, only busy during certain times of the year
I started working with Hooper Holmes as a contractor in 2011 when I finished MA school. They are a great company to work for if you enjoy being able to pick and choose when you work. The pay is great and they even compensate you for out of area fees, such as hotel. Over all great to work with, and the other examiners are really nice and knowledgeable – more... as well. – less

Productive environment that requires passion for service
CORPORATE RECRUITER (Current Employee), Houston, TX – March 15, 2013
Pros: great step into the healthcare industry
Cons: not a flashy place
Extremely fast-paced environment that requires a true passion for providing excellent service. Requires an individual that is driven and motivated to continuously educate themselves on new healthcare requirement and restrictions. Must have a sales mentality to maintain vital business relationship and an eye for expansion.

Financially unstable company but loved the people I worked with
Senior Telephone Interviewer/Reviewer/Call Coach (Former Employee), Lenexa, KS – February 8, 2013
Pros: the people i worked with
Cons: unorganized and instability of the company within itself
A typical day was from 7 am to 3 pm where I reviewed completed medical history interviews from people applying for life insurance policies. This job was extremely repetitive but had developed very close and valued relationships with most of the people I worked with.

Productive and fun workplace
Partner Link Support Representative (Former Employee), Allentown, PA – January 28, 2013
Pros: excellent leaders and managers, they worked so well with me and my schedule, i was able to work from home, lots of overtime
Cons: small break room
My day would start with me checking why orders did not go through. I would then enter medical exam orders for life insurance companies. We would have to make sure the correct requirements were completed, depending on the face amount and age of the applicant. I had an amazing manager and team leader. Both wear very kind and flexible with my schedule. – more... I had many great team workers too. I eventually became the "go to" girl when anything complicated aroused. There wasn't really a hard part to my job. I enjoyed my entire experience with the company. – less

Loved my job there! Worked with many, many very professional and talented people, whom I miss dearly.
Branch Manager (Former Employee), Basking Ridge, NJ – January 16, 2013
Pros: bonus programs, leinent pto
Cons: health care, way too much reduction in force.
Very busy/productive office. I learned alot about working with different personalities, the importance of providing great Customer Service and human morals. My co-workers were the best!!! I miss them all dearly. The hardest part of the job was dealing with certain individuals that were out to destroy your character in order for them to get ahead instead – more... of working together as "team members". The most enjoyable part of the job was leaving with the feeling that not only did I learn alot but also helped others to learn alot and grow as individuals as well. – less

data entry
data entry (Current Employee), olathe ks – December 18, 2012
Pros: free lunches once a month
Cons: health insurance, management, typing
Typical day is typing and nothing else. Learn barely anything but stuff changes to much in the department. Management is to micromanaged and pick who be best for the job never gives opportunities for other people to try other things. Company is ridiculous and some coworkers are alright but be careful some throw other people under the bus only to make – more... them look good. The enjoyable part is the day goes by quicker when listening to music. No raises after a year or once hired on. – less

employment jobs are data entry and customer service, most of the work is daytime, Monday through Friday
Quality Review Clerk (Data Entry Operator) (Former Employee), Olathe, KS – November 19, 2012
Pros: pot lucks, food companys come the job site so we just do not just eat regular food
Cons: must leave the cubicals for lunch, too far to travel, no talking while working
Most of the day is Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm. There is Customer Service and Data Entry work. What I have learned is that only certain people move up into management. The co-workers are great to work with. The hardest part of the job is sometimes there is not enough work to go around. The best part of the job is the co-workers, the Monday - Friday – more... work week. – less

Ok place if you don't need income.
Phlebotomist (Current Employee), Macon Ga – October 25, 2012
Pros: flexible schedule
Cons: extremely low pay and not enough work.
So much more of a headache than what it's worth. I drove 45 minutes to do an exam and only made $15. This didn't even cover my gas that I spent to get there so I am basically paying to work for them. I have only had 3 clients in 2 months so I have made $45 in 2 months time. NOT worth it at all.

Contractor very unorganized company
contractor- medical appointments (Current Employee), US – September 20, 2012
Pros: flexibility. set your own availability
Cons: little financial return for the headache
Worked as a contractor. Always getting last minute assignments, not much true support from corporate or region offices. Information routinely wrong for location of clients and times. A lot of administration for a low per draw rate.

Great experience at work place
Billing Specialist Supervisor (Current Employee), Lenexa, KS – September 11, 2012
Pros: friendship with coworkers
Cons: only 1 raise in 4 years
My day is full of a lot of different things from making credit card payments to holding team meetings. I have learned that everyone is different and needs to be approached differently to make the work environment enjoyable for everyone.
Management is micromanagment and macromanagment depending on the priority of the work detail.
The most enjoyable part – more... of the job is learning new experiences, setting goals and meeting them. – less
