The employees take the time to get to know the guests. They try their best to make the guests stay to feel like home. Homewood Suites has a very friendly and energetic staff. Not only do they get to know the guests but they tend to grow relationships with them.

OVERWORKED, UNDERPAID, UNAPPRECIATED, PRESSURE
housekeeper (Former Employee), tampaMay 31, 2014
Pros: benefits
Cons: everything from first step through entrance
When first started working there was little to no training just watch and learn, had to guess where room items were, language barrier so there was no explaination on how to clean rooms, had yo learn and figure out on my own and ask questions, break is your meeting with manager each day needless to say so much in little time and pressured to clean extremely – more... fast. Favoritism towards others. Housekeeper who clean well has to clean what other housekeepers didn't when assigned new floor each day. – less

Engineer (Current Employee), Lynnwood, WAMay 27, 2014
Pros: people, location, uniforms, integrity, great staff, great facility.
Cons: no insurance yet.
Working for Legacy hospitality I am quite happy. We have opened a Homewood Suites in Lynnwood, WA and I must say that the group of people I work with are very fun and likeable. We all understand business is business but manage to make it fun when we can. There are a lot of seasoned people working at this property and the ability to learn and grow has – more... created a wonderful feeling of warmth and joy in my life. The owners of Legacy will get right into the grind with you and I have not once felt like they looked down on me and have had no feeling of disrespect from them. While there have been some rough patches it is nothing compared to the other places I have worked. Having a job where you can really sit and talk with the people above you about a problem makes this place a gift to embrace in life. I look forward to the time I will spend at this property however long I am blessed to be there. – less

Houseman (Former Employee), Jacksonville, FLMarch 25, 2014
A typical day at work started with a morning meeting to inform each department of the specific needs for the day. As the day went on you performed each task assigned to you that day as well as your regularly assigned duties. My coworkers made it where you enjoyed coming to work because whether you had anything going on in your personal or not when you – more... got to the workplace you left it at the door. – less

Friendly yet not able to be your best due to lack of personel
Guest Services Representative (Former Employee), Fort Worth, TXMarch 22, 2014
Cons: front desk is not allowed to take lunches or breaks.
It is a place with the lacking of staff. This makes working difficult at times as you are doing more than one job at a time. It does not give one the ability to be their best when it comes to customer service. The hardest thing to do is watch the desk and be houseperson at the same time. It always leave one guest upset. Resulting your performance as – more... rude, impatient and unreliable. – less
