HOURS: 8AM TO 4:30PM

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Responsible to the Retail Education & Communication Assistant Manager to assist in the support of Connect and other Retail Education and Communication programs and activities.
  • Assist with the administration work related to Connect including file addition, deletion and maintenance; writing descriptions, summaries, messages, etc.
  • Support store users of Connect in learning Connect and solving problems.
  • Coordinate with other departments to assist them in developing their content and how it is presented in Connect.
  • Assist in developing and administering processes and workflows ensuring accurate, timely and relevant content is consistently featured in Connect.
  • Assist in developing training documentation and communications to support Connect users (Dealer and Corporate).
  • Assist in the development and administration of electronic surveys, order forms, web pages, etc.
  • Assist in testing Connect features, identifying bugs, etc.
  • Assist with the delivery of training related to Connect for both Dealers and Corporate users.
  • Provide assistance with the daily functions and projects of the department as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preference will be given to bilingual candidates
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, strong experience using internet applications and Adobe Acrobat Professional and html experience. Experience with graphic design software an asset.
  • Good proof reading and grammatical skills. Strong technical writing skills for the purpose of developing documentation, communication pieces and concise content descriptions for online consumption.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to deal competently with people over the phone and working closely with subject matter experts in other departments.
  • Detail oriented and an ability to organize and work under strict timelines, while producing quality deliverables.
  • Self-motivated and self-managed; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work weekends during Dealer Markets and overtime as required.
  • Post secondary in web design or communications related, a good knowledge of Home Hardware’s Systems & Services would all be assets.
