1.Control gas fired and electric coffee roasters and monitor coffee bean quality
2.Weigh batch of coffee beans on scale and place in hopper; and release into roasting drum.
3.Observe computer gages and adjust controls to guide coffee through the different roasting stages.
4.Compare and analyze colour of roasted coffee bean with standard profile.
5.Release coffee when roasting is complete and bag for distribution.
1. 1+ years experience working in roasting, production and handling/packaging coffee.
2. Roaster maintenance/cleaning: investigate and acquire a working knowledge of our roasting systems (mechanical & digital).
3. Quality control & teamwork: works with team to ensure daily cupping evaluation of production roasts; sample roasts; blend recipes and roast to proper degree.
4. Analyze roast profiles and establish new ones as needed.
Wage: $15.00 per hour
Hours: Days and weekends - full time permanent
