Purpose of the Position
The Access Centre provides information and advise to all internationally educated health professionals living in Ontario. The Centre also delivers a series of transition to practice services to qualified health professions interested in relocating to Ontario. Transition to practice services also support domestically trained Physician Assistants and IEHPs who have sucessfully obtained a license in Ontario.
The Senior Contract and Procurement Coordinator (Senior Operations Coordinator) is responsible for program-related contract administration, payment processing, as well as administering Access Centre business cases and tendering processes (in collaboration with Corporate Affairs) such as Request for Service and Request for Proposal.
This position is also the primary liaison with Corporate Affairs department on all matters related to procurement and financial administration.
1.Physician Assistant program administration including contract review and preparation, grant payment processing and tracking, report preparation and analysis.
2.Write all Access Centre business cases in accordance with Agency guidelines and liaise with Corporate Affairs through approvals process.
3.Prepare Access Centre specific components of documents including RFSs, RFPs, and assist with vendor evaluation processes.
4.Liaise with Corporate Affairs Finance and Procurement departments as required to coordinate payments and business cases.
5.Liaise with external organisations as required to facilitate contract management .
6.Ensure appropriate file management is in place to support administration of contracts and payments for various Access Centre programs .
7.Prepare financial and statistical reports as required.
8.Assist the Associate Director, Access Centre with special projects.
9.Other duties as assigned within the Access Centre department.
1.3-5 years of public sector contract management experience, with a preference for experience related to Ontario government procurement procedures according to the Management Board of Cabinet Procurement Directive.
2.Knowledge of the MERX electronic tendering system is required.
3.Experience administering payments is also required.
4.Strong operational orientation is required, including attention to detail, time management and prioritization.
5.Excellent research and report writing skills are required; must be detail-oriented, flexible and have the ability to multi-task.
6.Self-directed; ability to work well independently and in a team.
