Busy specialists' office in Bathurst/Lawrence area is looking for a full time receptionist/secretary.
Very busy multi-doctor specialists office is looking for a full time receptionist/secretary who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and who prides him/herself on being a multi-tasker.

Starting salary for this position is $15/hour.

Candidates who finished medical secretarial course or have 1-2 years of experience working in a medical office will be given a priority for this position although persons who are considering a career in medicine will be considered as well.

Your responsibilities would include:

--Answering phone calls in a pleasant and courteous manner
--Registering patients in the computer system quickly, efficiently, and without errors
--Scheduling new and follow up appointments in the computer system
--Filing chart
--Learning/using electronic medical records system
--Responding to doctor's requests throughout the day
--Multitude of other duties necessary for the functioning of a busy medical office

--Interact with patients and other team members in a positive and constructive manner
--Able to work under pressure
--Able to diffuse difficult situations
--Able to react to constructive criticism in a positive way
--Able to connect to patients coming from a variety ethnic/socio-economic backgrounds
