Our client, who specialises in the software industry, is actively seeking a Community Affairs Specialist to join their team of professionals, who are dedicated to bring the organisation to the top of the market.

You will have the ability to apply your skills and knowledge, as well as gain valuable experience in supporting their Citizenship and Corporate Affairs team on building a positive image and reputation in Canada. Being a trusted advisor to a to Citizenship Lead, the Community Affairs Manager is the key role in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners, community organizations and government. In addition to working with internal business groups, he/she will work closely with non-profit community across the country to develop and implement new programs. The candidate will be responsible for directing our client’s employee engagement strategy to make a difference in the community. Some of the main duties will also include managing of budget allocations, donation and sponsorship opportunities.
Required qualifications for this role:
2+ years of work experience in Community Affairs and government or public relations
Ability to self-direct, multi-task, and work under aggressive or self-imposed deadlines is essential
Experience in event planning and execution is desirable
