BILINGUAL LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST (FT), HazloLaw Professional Corporation. Seeking a fluently bilingual Legal Administrative Assistance and Receptionist (70/30 job split). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years' relevant experience and is bright and motivated to learn. Exposure to a law office environment and general administrative duties are considered assets. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PC Law and Outlook with good keyboarding and grammar skills are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering a multiline phone
  • Greeting clients
  • Daily preparation of dockets
  • Preparation of accounts
  • Preparation of mail and courier packages
  • Coordinate and organize meetings, conference calls and maintain agenda
  • Organizing and expediting the flow of work through the professional's practice, initiating any follow-up action as appropriate
  • Accurately preparing legal documents and correspondence with minimal direction
  • Transcribing and typing legal documents and correspondence
  • Liaising between the legal professionals and various internal and external individuals, groups and clients at all levels
  • Working proactively in the day to day support of the professional's practice
  • Using initiative and good judgement to relieve the professional of administrative detail


  • Completed post-Secondary education in Office Administration – Legal or Law Clerk diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute or suitable combination of education and related experience
  • Minimum of 2+ years' legal experience as an assistant is required
  • Fluent bilingualism (French/English) is required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of PCLaw
  • Good keyboard and dicta-typing skills are required
  • Basic office equipment experience
  • Experience preparing and editing correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other Firm members, with the aptitude to take care of clients’ needs in a professional and courteous manner
  • Capacity to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Strong written, oral and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi task within a fast paced environment
