Role: Mortgage Administrator
Location: Sheppard Avenue
Contract Duration: Temporary to Permanent
Description of Role:
To provide accurate and timely mortgage administration processing in a non-conforming lender operation that services $15-$20 million of assets in a multi lender, multi service environment.
The right candidate should enjoy working with a fast paced team in a small office. They may be required to document and test new system applications and the analysis of mortgage and lender activity.
Routine Job Requirements:
Inventory post dated cheques for mortgage remittance for internal and external lender customers.
Follow up on missing orinaccurate cheques with mortgagor on Investor’s behalf.
Monitor Back End remittance obligations for paying and receiving lenders
Apply mortgage payments accurately according to individual amortization statements by investor.
Board details of new and renewing mortgages, including property particulars, amortization reporting and syndicated lender particulars.
Review ,authorize and prepare discharge statements
Post discharges and provide Lender Reporting package on such
Reconcile bank accounts
Prepare cheques for all mortgage related expenses including items such as broker finder fees, commitment fees, property management companies, appraisers , etc.
Prepare monthly investor remittance including relevant reporting on delinquency.
Assist with reconciliation and annual T5 preparation
Qualiications and Education
Graduated from University or College with a finance, accounting or economics degree
The possession of an accounting desigation
At least 3 plus years of working experience in mortgage or lender activity industry
Strong working knowledge of Canadian GAAP and IFRS
Strong computer skills and demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Word
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to perform and prioritize multiple responsibilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
