fun atmosphere, respectful
Administrator (Former Employee), Ottawa, ONAugust 2, 2015
Pros: associate discount, friendly environment, trustworthiness
Cons: long hours, short lunches
start shift with a positive attitude everyone is happy and respectful . Management respects, understands and trusts the associates.co-workers are all friendly and nice to one another. As an adminstrator i learned to handle invoices, cash balances, morning reports, transfer daily and weekly sales and open/closed store on holidays. Hardest part of the jobs during christmas is when it gets super busy however with the positive environment we handled it well. The most enjoyable part is the respect that is given to us by the managers and employees and working together as on.

HR Assistant (Former Employee), Toronto, ONApril 28, 2015
Turnover is always high in the retail market but Harry Rosen is one of the best companies I have worked for. They respect their associates and ensure a good working environment always.

Stock Associate (Former Employee), Toronto, ONOctober 29, 2014
Learned a great amount of experience in the high end retail sector however, a lack of management and training is a result of associates stagnant in their positions with desires to excel in other positions within the company.

Visual Merchandiser (Former Employee), Vancouver, BCOctober 1, 2014
Pros: early start, early leave
Cons: no company culture, all about sale.
it was a temporary position over the holidays. Everyone is nice but highly competitive with each other and sales oriented, forgetting about the style of the clients. The visual team was working closely with each other, good experience over all.

Great people, bad environment
Administration (Current Employee), Toronto, ONAugust 7, 2014
Pros: great employees, good benefits
Cons: long hours, slow job advancement
The staff is very friendly and the benefits and discounts are great, however you are constantly being talked down by the sales associates and customers. Its a cut throat environment and barely anyone in admin ever gets a promotion.

Administration/Harry's Helper (Former Employee), Vancouver, BCApril 24, 2014
Pros: great people
Cons: long hours standing
As administration you are working as a cashier or a Harry's Helper (seasonal help). You work with a group of nice men and women selling men's wear. You answer phones and except payments.

The hardest part of this job is the standing for long periods.

The best part of this job is the people you work with. The management treats employees like they would want to be treated. They don't expect anymore out of you than what they would put out themselves.
