Position Summary
The Operations Manager reports to the General Manager and plays an active role with the national management team. The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Regina plant including leadership over the production and shipping supervisors, production, yard and shipping teams as well as interacting with sales. As a leader in the industry All-Fab is implementing continuous improvement throughout their operations which will be an important part of this role.

Key responsibilities include:
Identify and implement ways and means to continuously improve Plant productivity and quality;
Implement project management programs with full documentation with the maintenance
Ensure quality of incoming and outgoing product by conducting thorough inspections as required;
Create process flow improvements and efficiencies in the yard for stacking and loading product;
Manage materials within the plant and purchase product for production;
Perform inventory counts monthly and as needed;
Schedule daily incoming work (on-going) in consultation with the Production Supervisors, Shipping and Maintenance, keeping in mind shop capacities and shipping schedule;
Implement Customer Service Policies and instill a strong customer service culture with staff;
Encourage and be open to ideas from staff and peers, ensure that daily huddles are effective and motivating;
Maintain a positive relationship with all staff using effective communication skills;
Ensure staff develop and utilize effective time management skills;
Implements and monitor safety standards and takes appropriate actions;
Hire, develop, and retain all staff reports;
Manage attendance reports, vacation requests, banked time and other employee performance records and information requests;
Arrange staff work schedules and establish vacation schedules for staff to allow for uninterrupted work flow;
Monitor and control staffing levels;
Perform written probationary and annual performance evaluations as well as ongoing verbal performance evaluations throughout the year;
Keep Job Descriptions current; and
Commit to, follow and implement Company Policies.
Ensure the security of Nu-Fab premises.

Selection Criteria
Bachelor or College Degree in any related discipline such as: Business, Manufacturing or Engineering;
Minimum 5 years of Distribution and Production experience;
Retail experience an asset;
Proven success leading continuous improvement initiatives in an operational environment;
Experience leading a team and managing direct reports;
Strong analytical processes that can be applied; and
Strong business acumen (creative, entrepreneurial, financial, sales).
