Front Desk Clerk/ Housekeeping (Former Employee), Batavia, NYAugust 12, 2014
Pros: enjoy working with and meeting new people
Cons: never was able to take breaks, general manager was disrespetful to employees.
The General manager for this hotel is disrespectful not only to employees, but to guests also. The owner does not even greet his employees when comes onto property. Huge turn around with workers.

Fun workplace
House keeping (Former Employee), Scottsdale, AZAugust 11, 2014
Pros: discounts on items in the store.
Cons: the hard work and cleaning the rooms under 30 mins or less.
The typical day at the Hampton Inn was fun and exciting it just hard work cleaning the room, but at the end of the day you completed the task and all the coworkers are nice and friendly. I learned that when you have a great attitude its just a positive day. The most enjoyable part of the job is the respect you get.

Housekeeping and Laundry (Former Employee), Prattville, ALAugust 11, 2014
Pros: tips from the guests
Cons: 28 mins or less to clean a room
A typical day was getting the linen on the shelf for the housekeepers washing ,drying folding and stocking the linen room. I learned to do my job that I am assign to do and mind my own business, as for management the supervisor was very fair and treaty everyone the same but the manager had preference of certain workers and the hardest part of the job – more... ignoreing the fact that the manager was prejudice but the most enjoyable part was showing and knowing that I could get the job done under any circumstances. – less

Sales Coordinator (Former Employee), Oklahoma City, OKAugust 7, 2014
Pros: room discounts, job advancement
Cons: indirect constructive criticism
I enjoyed working for The Hampton. A typical work day consisted of multiple calls and face to face client interaction. The management was good and my co-workers were very easy to get along with. I believe the hardest part of this job was the passive actions on some of the management. I really enjoyed meeting with my clients and getting to know people – more... for all around the world. – less

Shuttle Driver (Current Employee), Southgate, MIAugust 3, 2014
Pros: tips
Cons: no benefits or chance for advancement
Typical day at work is usually the same. Pick up around the hotel and on call to drive guests. Management is ok, not personal. Little Co-worker interaction. The hardest part of the job is finding something to do when it's slow. The most enjoyable part of the job is people interaction.

Housekeeping
Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant (Former Employee), Evansville, INJuly 31, 2014
Pros: independent job
Cons: laundry could get behind
During my time at the Hampton Inn, I worked as a housekeeper but I mainly did laundry. I simply washed, dried, folded all of the hotels linens. Everything from sheets, duvets, towels, etc. I was also in charge of stocking the storage rooms with clean linens for the housekeepers who worked on different floors.

housekeeping up and down battle.
Housekeeper (Former Employee), Maple Grove, MNJuly 31, 2014
Pros: tips, great staff, hotel discounts.
Cons: down time waiting on a late check out, trashed rooms.
my overall experience was 50/50. great team had fun. But late check outs can be a pain and when a guest stayed a night in a wonderful clean hotel and trash the place and receives no charge for the damage they cause can get under your skin.
