This position is funded by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Eligible applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and will be between the ages of 15 and 30, enrolled as a full-time student during the previous academic year and returning to school full-time in the upcoming academic year.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Development of a Youth Program – investigate youth engagement at Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country, Habitat International and other charities/ volunteer organizations; compile information; participate in stakeholder task force.
Assist with tracking progress on capacity building initiatives in affiliates across the country.
Investigate possibilities of online learning platform – with Habitat Internationals and other platforms available.
Collect best practices from affiliates across Canada to share – post to extranet site for easy access and implementation by other affiliates.
Length of contract: 8 weeks / 30 hours per week Hourly Wage Rate: $12
Candidate will be working out of the Habitat for Humanity Northumberland office.
