The Chief Fund Development Officer is the anchor position to continually increase the fund development portfolio stream for Habitat Niagara to accomplish its mission of building affordable housing in the Niagara Peninsula. We are at a ‘tipping point’ to: leapfrog the programs that are in place; take advantage of grant and funding opportunities; and launch programs targeting the several levels of donors and grants - Continuing the development of a sustained well diversified fund development plan is the desired outcome - This position reports to the CEO and works closely and collaboratively with the COO.
You are a successful fund developer in a not for profit organization with a social and business entrepreneur mindset. Very organized, a superb relationship builder, a strategic thinker, multitasker and fiscally astute - you know how to link the dots, how to engage our business, and community partners to our cause and build on the stakeholder relationships. You enjoy the challenge of meeting objectives through planning and execution and currently have a substantial portfolio. You have a university degree or equivalent and are affiliated and follow the dictates of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and possibly have a CFRE certification.
