FIVE SHOVEL LIFTERS (MILLWRIGHTS & MACHINISTS) NEEDED FOR JOB IN HINTON & LOGAN LAKE (2 ASSIGNMENTS CONCURRENTLY)

Must haves:

This is not a generalist millwright position but a position that will require more than 10 undeckings of P&H /Joy Global Shovels with an advanced knowledge of machine of P&H Shovels with specialized equipment built for marching P&H/Joy Shovels

Duties:

• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures for undecking of a mining shovel
• Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure as safe lift
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices to lift the shovel
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
• Operate machine specialized CNC equipment
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
• Machine the required parts with specialized CNC equipment
• Assemble the shovel by lowering it in position after machining of the new components

Wage: USD 450 per day

Location: Hinton Alberta and Logan Lake BC

Start date 10 Feb 2012 for 12 -16 weeks

SUPERVISOR NEEDED FOR UNDECKING & MACHINING OF SHOVEL

Location Hinton Alberta and Logan Lake BC (2 assignments concurrently)

Duties

• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of workers who will lift a mining shovel (undeck) and machine Shovel in Edson Alberta and in Logan Lake BC
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity at the job site
• Ensure that standards for safe working conditions are observed
• Prepare production and other reports to owner of the shovel
• May manage the operations of their own companies
• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers and labourers.

Wage: $800 per day

Start date 1 Feb 2012 for 12-16 weeks

Must have:

• Extensive and advanced experience in supervising lifting (undecking) of P&H Shovel with specialized lifting equipment
• Must have extensive and advanced experience in machining & directing of machining of P&H Shovels
