Seeking an individual who can:

  • Solve problems that have been escalated by other technical staff
  • Build and manage project plans and implement solutions
  • Manage diverse network infrastructure systems
  • Deal effectively and efficiently with clients and management teams
  • Foresee potential technical issues
  • Communicate with all different levels of users

Main Activities:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Meet and aid in recommendations for system requirements, upgrades and time schedules
  • Operate and administer computer software and hardware and design and develop changes and upgrades
  • Trouble shooting of hardware, software and network operations (Servers, printers, infrastructure etc.)
  • Manage day to day operations in most aspects of the IT functions – working with junior staff technicians
  • Training staff as required
  • Maintain inventory of technology hardware and software
  • Deal with external vendors for various system requirements (Bell as an MPLS provider, Dell as a hardware vendor etc.)
  • Respond to emergency infrastructure issues (network, server, application etc.)
  • Providing multi vendor support and reacting to client needs appropriately, providing assistance to local and remote users, providing proactive resolution management, providing software and application support, resolving and monitoring tickets and escalating as necessary.
  •  Some off hours work may be necessary once in a while
  •  Some travel (5%) may be required

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • 4- 6 years + experience in current technologies including Network Hardware, MS Server 2003/08 and above, MS Exchange 2010, AntiVirus and AntiSpam software, wired and wireless networking
  • Well versed in VPN and Firewall technology
  • Previous experience in Help Desk and Report Support positions
  • Proven track record of delivering results and committed to operational and service excellence.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage effectively
  • Self motivated team player with ability to work independently as well as function effectively within a team


  • Degree\Diploma in Information Technology
  • Up to date vendor certifications would be an asset.
