Tax Professional (Current Employee) – St. John's, NL – 26 July 2017
H&R Block is a fantastic place to work! The management is phenomenal, everyone is so friendly to work with, and you are constantly learning new skills. They are so flexible and understanding with schedules as well. And even though we only meet with clients once a year, on average, it is such a fun and rewarding experience every single time.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – Ottawa, ON – 26 April 2017
Basic Clerical Office work, not very challenging if you have common sense. unreasonable pricing for tax returns ( this is coming from an employee) some of management know nothing about taxes and CRA. great work life balance as the schedules are to your own choosing. Minimum wage . no real advancement as you'd have to pay from your own pocket for training.
Easy work, Clerical Experience
Overpriced services which leads to frustrated customers

The direct mangers are amazing, district management not good at all. Training is provided but not enough before starting job. Very poor pay, no job security, barely time to take a break. Absolutely no home/work balance.
It is a temp job if that is what someone wants
No breaks, poor upper management skills, horrible pay, no benefits.
Client service professional (Former Employee) – Fort Saskatchewan, AB – 20 March 2017
When I started I had very little training. I was quick to learn the new tasks without little assistance. Work hours were amazing at my location. Lack of communication and under staffed made for some upset customers. Got great work experience dealing with dissatisfied customers.
Tax Preparer (Part-time) (Former Employee) – Saint John, NB – 18 March 2017
A very supportive team with flexibility in work schedule. Enjoyed meeting customers from all walks of life and helping them complete their tax returns which can be stressful. It was hard to tell customers when they owed taxes but was so fun to tell them when they would receive a return!
Diverse customer base; supportive work environment
