If you like doing taxes H&R Block is one of the best. they strive to teach and help their employees grow. If you are interrested in just doing taxes sign up for the basic tax classes in August and enjoy the best tax training out there.

Pros: clients leaving happy with their refund in hand.
Cons: clients leaving unhappy due to not getting the refund they were expecting.
Clients would come into the store to have their tax questions answered and have a tax associate complete their tax forms. The management and my co-workers were great people to work with and were always helpful. The hardest part of the job was to deal with clients who were not happy about the money they had to pay to the government. Pros: employees able to upgrade knowledge for cost of textbook, company subsidizes classroom expense
Handling phone calls, answering questions regarding filing of tax returns, or responding to Canada Revenue for clients that have filed and additional information is needed preparing various types of tax returns. Hardest part--adjusting and staying on top of the constant change whether it be different management or new tax law enjoyable--Helping clients – more... receive satisfaction by resolve problems with preparing their tax returns or their inquiries from Canada Revenue. Cons: exacting, demanding. hard work.
You must successfully complete H&R Block Level 1 public tax school courses to qualify for employment. Courses start mid-September every year. (A referral from an H&R Block tax pro can save you 50% off the cost of registration--up to a $150 value.)
You must take (and pass) refresher and advanced-level courses each year to move forward with the complexity – more... of tax returns you will prepare and pay scale and bonuses you will be eligible for.
A merit-based organization--generally speaking, if you produce, make few mistakes, and achieve above average client retention, you will do well.
Appeals to diverse ages, career paths. Popular with accounting students starting out, semi-retirees and others looking to augment income or have an outlet for their occupational energy.
Does not require mathematical genius to be successful. Tax knowledge, which you can acquire through the courses, common sense, and concern for clients' welfare are much more useful qualities. – less

Cons: wish it was long as i enjoy working in a office setting
I enjoy working at H&R Block because I like to help people with doing their taxes and understanding them. There is always something to learn everyday as taxes policies can change and no 2 tax preperations are the same. Management are supportive and assist in answering any question that may come up. Pros: great tech support and smooth business operation
Cons: small lunch room
Prepared tax returns according to the company guidelines. Learned how to deal with every type of customer to meet their needs. Co-workers were very knowledgeable and helpful. The offices were very comfortable and clean which made for a perfect work environment.
