A decorated and successful start up in Richmond Hill is looking for a sharp, young, recent graduate to join their fast-paced, rapidly growing, financial services company. This role will see you take on a diverse set of responsibilities and participation in various areas of the service delivery team. The company has received massive investment and has signed on some major clients meaning this role has tremendous opportunity for growth within the company.


  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for any issue that may arise in product software components or service delivery infrastructure
  • Proactive monitoring of all application tiers
  • Build and release management, deployment and package verification
  • Java/J2EE development of new client virtualization modules
  • Implement and deploy firewall rule changes, public/private ssh key configurations. Interact with clients to identify and resolve secure access issue
  • Implement and manage customer configurations in Fast-Track and production environments; requires knowledge of PL/SQL and Oracle
  • Test and troubleshoot installation of new customers and upgrades of existing customers
  • Manage and monitor virtualized Linux instances and installed product stack
  • QA Testing of web and IVR applications to support new product releases
  • Automation of repetitive QA tasks using software such as Selenium
  • Operational efficiency improvements
  • Adhere to company security standards at all times

  • Administration, shell programming, configuration, monitoring
  • Basic knowledge of Linux kernel configurations, networking and security modules is a plus
  • Oracle
  • Operation, configuration installation, troubleshooting, programming, (SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Apache/Tomcat
  • Operation, configuration, installation
  • Asterisk
  • Operation, configuration, installation
  • Networking
  • Firewalls, VPN, SSH
  • Nagios monitoring and event handling
  • CVS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The following are considered "nice to have" skills:

- NoSQL, couchDB open source DB
- Tomcat apache
- Node.js/backbone.js/angular.js or other js libaries

A university degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a numerate discipline is an asset.
