Quality control technician (Former Employee) –  Montréal-Est, QC20 April 2017
Job looked promising at the beginning but soon turned into nightmare. Typical bad corporate culture with relatively high staff turnaround. Had some amazing colleagues (minority) but also faced unbelievable hatred for no obvious reason. Nepotism and conflict of interest (outsourcing work) from incompetent higher management was directly compromising productivity on personal and corporate level. Average salary, decent working conditions and basically no one cares about you as long as you do not point to real problems. If you have to pay your bills take a job there, but start looking for new one immediately.
Pros
Occassional free food to take home
Cons
Nepotism, potentialy hostile working environment, incompetent management

Quality Control Technician (Former Employee) –  Montreal23 December 2016
Try to avoid this place!! The management has no idea of what they are doing and nobody cares about anything.

The salaries are really low and they make a big difference between the people who works for GS1 and the ones that are on a contract.
Pros
Nobody cares
Cons
Nobody cares, low salaries and a hostile work environment

Management is not good
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON18 April 2016
Poor management skills among the leaders and lots of nepotism. Good benefits. Interesting business and industry to learn.

Senior management is the main problem for the organization not to be more successful.

Bad management in Finance dept
Accountant (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON19 January 2013
Overall the company is very good. The team is well trained and work environment is very confortable. I would recommend to work for this company. Finance department is too small, there isn't any chance in advancement.
