Human Resources Specialist - West

Due to our continued growth and success, we are expanding our Burnaby, BC based Corporate Services team and are currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist.
As part of the corporate operations team you will provide centralized support and services to both our Canadian and US employees. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, in this role you will support the management and delivery of key areas of Human Resources. This will include: compensation and performance management, manager advisory, employee relations, policy development, communications, wellness, training and development, and program and benefits design. You will provide coaching and guidance to business line leaders on a range of issues, as well as facilitating policy interpretation and application. You will work with all employees of the organization as well as external vendors to ensure efficient and optimal operations of human resources in the organization. You will also be a key enabler of our culture and core values.
To successfully fulfill this role, you should hold a degree in business administration (human resources focus), or a related discipline. You should have five (5) plus years’ experience in a hands-on Human Resources advisory role. You should bring strong planning, multi-tasking, project management and decision making skills. You should have the capacity to manage a wide range of multiple priorities and possess the ability to perform with a high level of discretion while dealing with high pressure situations. Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently are all key attributes of this role. The successful candidate will enjoy and thrive in a fast paced, results-driven environment and have outstanding people management skills with a respect for privacy and confidentiality. Experience in the professional service industry or a technology company is a definite asset.
