We professionally own and/or manage more than 1,000,000 sq.ft. of commercial space and 20,000 residential units in town homes and apartment buildings of all sizes throughout central Canada.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, management fees, bank reconciliations and journal entries ensuring that deadlines are met in a timely manner
  • Review and maintain monthly control sheets for financial statements and annual budgets to ensure information is accurate, current and investigate variances as needed
  • Prepare required year end procedures (cost statements, recovery tenant reconciliations)
  • Prepare for acquisition of clients (Setting up opening trial balances, preparing initial budget with the Property Manager, preparing files, etc.)
  • Complete GST/QST remittance calculations and reporting
  • Assist in the preparation and reviewing of annual budgets
  • Ensure timely completion and maintenance of accounting data to meet reporting deadlines
  • Assist Property Managers in financial accounting matters
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management


  • Diploma or certificate in accounting required
  • 2 – 3 years experience in an accounting position preferably in the Property Management field
  • Excellent understanding of how to prepare financial statements, budgets and year end reports
  • CGA designation or working towards completion preferred
  • YARDI knowledge is an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to handle a heavy work load and meet deadlines
  • Team player who is able to work in a fast paced environment and contribute to the team by transfer of knowledge to more junior team members
  • Ability to work well under pressure and remain detail focused
  • Ability to work in a flexible hour environment, as overtime may be required in order to meet deadlines (i.e. year-end, budgets, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, able to get ideas across and maintain composure in a changing environment
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities
  • Excellent attitude and willingness to continuously learn and update skills in order to remain competitive and challenged
